MEET

Founded in 2017 by husband-and-wife team Mark and Patrice, The Potter’s Players is a volunteer-based theatre ministry dedicated to presenting powerful, Spirit-led performances rooted in Biblical truth. Our productions are free and open to all, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to hear the Good News.

Every role—from actors and directors to designers and managers—is filled by passionate volunteers. 100% of all donations go directly toward production costs, allowing this ministry to continue making an impact.

MARK SMITH

Mark began acting as a child while his father was stationed in Japan with the U.S. Army. Over the years, he performed in beloved productions such as The Sound of Music, Hello, Dolly!, My Fair Lady, Annie Get Your Gun, and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. One of his most cherished roles was playing Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. In addition to community theatre, Mark has brought life to countless church dramas and improv performances. Today, he co-directs The Potter’s Players alongside Patrice, blending his deep love for theatre and faith.

PATRICE SMITH

Patrice discovered her love for drama later in life, after stepping into a church production in her late twenties. What began as a leap of faith turned into a calling. In the early 1990s, she founded Bibleodeon—a children’s ministry that brought Bible stories to life through puppetry, drama, and music. Today, Patrice writes and directs majority of The Potter’s Players productions, seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance in every script. Her passion is to see lives transformed through the power of storytelling. Together, Mark and Patrice lead The Potter’s Players like a family, drawing out the best in their cast and crew while staying rooted in their shared love for Christ.
